CYTOPROTIDIAN LIFESCIENCE CONSULTING LLC

From molecular signal to clinical decision

We pair data science and computational biology expertise with senior medical-affairs strategy, helping biotech labs and early biotechs turn complex data into confident clinical decisions. We connect multiomics and biomarker data with clinical and medical insight, so teams can find the right patients, indications and biomarkers and evidence that move a program forward.

SERVICES

Advisory Engineered for Translational Execution and Asset Progression

Each consultative initiative is structured around the core mechanistical and clinical decision matrices that determine asset viability: target validation, patient stratification, indication prioritization, and data-driven gating milestones. We assist research teams in synthesizing highly rigorous, objective evidence frameworks that withstand intense peer evaluation and align with institutional governance standards. Beyond strategic formulation, we actively collaborate at every critical juncture of the translational continuum, optimizing the operational path from preclinical proof-of-concept to clinical execution.

OUR EDGE

Computational rigor. Clinical judgment. One conversation.

Most computational analyses fail not because the math is wrong, but because no one with clinical experience checked whether the answer makes sense for a real patient. At Cytoprotidian, a computational biologist and a practicing physician work the same problem together, so what reaches you is already tested against both the data and the clinic.

  • One conversation, not a handoff chain. The analyst and the clinician are in the same room, so there is no translation loss between them.
  • Stress-tested before you commit. Every model is challenged on clinical plausibility before it informs a go/no-go decision.
  • Built for the questions investors and partners ask. Your asset strategy is grounded in mechanism and patient reality, not only market logic.

TRACK RECORD

Proof, not promises.

Cytoprotidian is new. The people behind it are not. Before founding the firm, our founders did this work inside some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies.

$600K

20+ centers of excellence

Teaching a machine to spot a disease most doctors never see

Fabry disease hides for years behind ordinary symptoms. Subir led an MIT-Takeda collaboration building an AI-based diagnostic approach for it, winning $600K in program funding and aligning the protocol, data framework and regulatory path across more than 20 centers of excellence.

Preclinical to post-marketing

Biomarkers that decide who belongs in the trial

The right patient-selection strategy can save a program; the wrong one can sink it. Somdutta has built patient-selection and pharmacodynamic biomarker strategies across oncology and immuno-oncology, served as global biomarker analysis lead for commercial assets, and delivered biomarker packages into regulatory submissions.

100+

patients reached

Access where none existed

Rare-disease medicines do not help patients who cannot get them. In India, Subir launched three rare-disease therapies and established the country’s first rare-disease patient access program, reaching more than 100 patients – work recognized as the best project in Takeda’s ICMEA region.

7

global product launches

Seven launches, one standard

Between them, the founders have worked the full arc from preclinical discovery to post-marketing: global launch programs for seven products across rare diseases, immunology, hematology and gastroenterology on one side; oncology programs from preclinical discovery through clinical phases to post-marketing on the other.

HOW WE WORK

Four steps from “we’re not sure” to “here’s the call.”

High-fidelity translational strategy informed by biological models and validated by clinical evidence.

1

Discover

We map your scientific question, data landscape, and decision timeline – and agree on what a good answer looks like.

2

Model

We build and interrogate computational models of your biology, testing hypotheses against your data.

3

Validate

We stress-test findings against clinical and regulatory reality, so nothing survives on math alone.

4

Translate

You get a clear, decision-ready readout and a practical path forward for your program.

WORKING WITH US

Senior people. Straight lines.

Advisory Sprint

One defined question, a fixed scope, and a decision-ready readout. The fastest way to test the fit.

Embedded Partner

Ongoing senior support inside your team’s rhythm: regular working sessions, rapid reviews, and decisions made as they arise.

Defined Project

A scoped deliverable with clear milestones – a biomarker strategy, an evidence plan, a launch readiness program, a publication plan.

Confidential by default.

We work under NDA. Your unpublished data remains yours alone, and nothing from one client’s program is ever reused for another’s. What you share through the contact form is used only to respond to you.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

Operators, not observers.

Cytoprotidian was founded by two people who have spent their careers on opposite sides of the translational gap – and decided to close it.

Dr Subir Roy, co-founder of Cytoprotidian

Co-founder – Medical Affairs and Translational Strategy

Subir Roy, MD, MBA

Subir Roy, MD, MBA, is a physician and medical affairs leader with nearly two decades of experience across global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, including Takeda, Novartis and Bristol Myers Squibb. He has led medical strategy, scientific diligence and launch readiness in rare diseases, immunology, hematology, gastroenterology and oncology, including global launch programs for seven products and India’s first rare-disease patient access program.

At Cytoprotidian, Subir helps biotech teams pressure-test the clinical and medical logic behind their science. Is the biological rationale strong enough? Will the evidence convince clinicians, regulators and partners? What has to be true for a promising program to become a medicine patients can actually access? His recent work includes launching Takeda’s rare disease portfolio in India,

leading an MIT-Takeda collaboration on AI-based diagnosis in Fabry disease and building global medical excellence platforms for autoimmune diseases. He holds an MD (MBBS), an MBA in Marketing and Healthcare from the Indian School of Business, and a Specialist Certification in Artificial Intelligence from Duke University.

Somdutta Saha

Co-founder – Computational Biology, Bioinformatics and AI/ML

Somdutta Saha, PhD

Somdutta Saha co-founded Cytoprotidian to bring big-pharma discovery and translational science to the teams that need it most, turning complex biological data into decisions that move programs forward. She has led discovery biology and translational bioinformatics teams, and driven biomarker strategy at various biotechs and pharma. Her work has covered oncology and immuno-oncology programs from preclinical discovery through different phases of clinical trials and post-marketing studies. She has built patient-selection and pharmacodynamic biomarker strategies, and she delivered packages for regulatory submissions. She has served as the global biomarker analysis lead for commercial assets, and has provided data-driven insights for critical milestones in moving forward programs.

At Cytoprotidian, she sets the scientific standard for every engagement. She leads the firm’s work in computational biology, bioinformatics and AI/ML early discovery through clinical development. Her teams combine multiomics, clinical and real-world data using reproducible pipelines and AI-enabled workflows. She also advises early-stage AI-driven biotech companies on product strategy and clinical validation.

Somdutta holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Her doctoral research used computational modeling of antibody-antigen interactions to guide the design of targeted therapies.
